About AIRAA

AIRAA is AI Readiness, Adaptation & Adoption, said “era.” It is a first-principles inquiry into the human capacities required for effective, responsible work with capable but fallible AI—and a free interactive companion to the book AI Empowered, a podcast, and, for teams, a set of services. The H(x)AI model from the book remains the working frame: outcomes depend on human engagement with AI.

Adopt means beginning to use AI. Adapt means changing how you think, judge, act, and take responsibility while using it. Readiness here means the psychological and judgment readiness that work asks for—not a claim that readiness must come before any adoption, and not an infrastructure scorecard. H(x)AI remains the working model from AI Empowered: outcomes depend on human engagement with AI. It is a teaching frame under examination, not an empirical law. Open questions about identity—including purpose-versus-activities and secure-identity hypotheses—are not settled here.

Who’s behind it

AIRAA was created by Aaron Douglas, a marketing strategist trained in organizational psychology and family therapy. He runs Auspicious, a fractional marketing and AI empowerment practice in Indianapolis, wrote AI Empowered: The Psychology of Extraordinary Human-AI Collaboration, and hosts the AI Empowered podcast. AIRAA is a brand and platform of Auspicious LLC.

Where the ideas live

The model is set out in full in the book, which is the source for everything on this site and in the app. It draws on organizational psychology (self-determination theory, expectancy theory, self-efficacy, mindset) and on the human-AI collaboration research of the last three years. The published book stands as published. Where this inquiry outruns the first edition, the site will say so rather than force a premature update into the book.
